On a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico I visited a local bead shop in old town and found this charming bear and stonechip beads. The bear is clear quartz with a purple stripe running down the middle. When I found the beads I didn’t know how I would use them, I just loved the colors and whimisical nature of the bear.
I used silver-lined glass beads to create the look of silver which is a staple of Native-American style jewelry. They also show off the natural elegance of the stone beads while providing the perfect background to set off the rainbow-colors. The bracelet and earrings feature the same beads for a polished style. The earrings also feature spiral details to add interest.
The necklace measures about 17″ long and has a lobster claw clasp. The memory wire bracelet is one size fits all.
